Payments and Cancellations: Short trips under 24 hours and day trips

Joining us for a day trip or short trip? Here's what you need to know about payments and cancellations.

1. Booking & Payment

Full payment confirms your spot.

2. If You Need to Cancel

We understand plans can change!

    * Cancel more than 14 days before your trip for a full refund.

    * Cancel between 3–14 days before, and you’ll get 50% back.

    * Less than 3 days’ notice or no-shows can’t be refunded because our guides are already set and ready to go.

3. Getting Here by Train

Finse is only accessible by train (no car or bus access). We’re not responsible for train delays or cancellations and can’t refund in those cases. If that happens, we’ll do our best to reschedule your hike for another suitable day.

4. If We Need to Cancel

Safety comes first. If weather or conditions make it unsafe to go ahead, we’ll offer you either a new date or a full refund. In general, if we cancel your trip for reasons outside your control, we’ll offer you either a new date or a full refund. We're not liable for any travel or accommodation plans you've made or make in these cases.

5. What to Wear and Bring

Winter and summer in Finse can bring wild weather! You must bring the right clothing and equipment that we ask you to, detailed in the product description. If we think you are not adequately prepared we reserve the right to refuse your participation.

6. Who Can Join

Everyone’s welcome, but you should be reasonably fit and prepared for cold conditions. Some hikes may have age or fitness limits.

7. Insurance & Safety

We handle guiding and safety but please have your own travel and accident insurance. Joining means you understand that outdoor adventures come with natural risks.

8. Meeting Up

Please arrive at the meeting point about 10 minutes early so we can get you set up. If you’re late, the group may start without you.

9. Good Conduct

We want every guest to enjoy their time outdoors. Please follow the guide’s instructions, respect nature, and be considerate toward fellow participants. Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in being excluded from the activity without a refund.

10. Use of Equipment

If you are borrowing or renting equipment from us we ask you to take reasonable care not to damage or lose it. You must use and store it safely and follow instructions from your guides.

12. Notes on refund currencies

We operate in Norwegian kroner (NOK). Payments made in other currencies are subject to exchange rate changes and bank fees, which we are not responsible for. All refunds are issued in NOK based on the original NOK price.

Please also be aware of our General Terms & Conditions.
