Payments and Cancellations: Overnight or multi-day trips or courses
Joining us on an overnight trip? Here's what you need to know about things that affect your payment or refunds:
1. Booking & Payment
A non-refundable deposit is taken at time of booking a multi-day trip or course and then we will contact you with more information and an invoice to pay the remaining balance. Paying the remaining balance is possible via bank transfer.
All trips must be paid for in full by 6 weeks (42 days) before the trip begins. Failure to pay the invoice within this time frame will result in your place being canceled.
2. If You Need to Cancel
All cancellations need to be in writing; send us an email at info@snowstormadventures.com.
Regardless of the reason for cancellation;
*The deposit is non-refundable.
*If you cancel more than 6 weeks from the start of your multi-day trip or course:
We will refund you any balance paid beyond the deposit.
*If you cancel between 6 weeks (42 days) and 4 weeks (28 days) from the start of your multi-day trip or course:
We will refund you for any costs you have paid beyond 50% of the total trip cost or service cost. (For example, if the trip costs £2,000 and you have already paid £1,300 then we can refund you £300).
*If you cancel less than 2 weeks (28 days) from the start of your multi-day trip or course:
Then unfortunately there is no refund.
We may supply you with a cancellation letter that details your cancellation to help you with the process of talking to your travel insurance company to reclaim the costs according to their policy.
3. Getting Here by Train
Finse is mostly accessible by train (there is no car or bus access). We’re not responsible for train delays or cancellations and can’t refund in those cases. If that happens, we’ll do our best to reschedule your hike for another suitable day. But otherwise please refer to our cancellation policy above.
4. If We Need to Cancel or Change the Itinerary
Safety comes first. If we decide weather or conditions make it unsafe to go ahead and we cancel your multi-day trip or course, we’ll offer you either a new date or a full refund. We're not liable for any travel, accommodation or other plans you've made or now decide to make in these cases.
We reserve the right to change the itinerary or plan for any reason (of course we will do our best to deliver the original itinerary)
5. What to Wear and Bring
Winter and summer in Finse can bring wild weather! Don’t be afraid of the weather our guides can help you weather storms; they can be quite an experience and often make the best stories! But you must bring the right clothing and equipment that we ask you to, detailed in the product description. If we think you are not adequately prepared we reserve the right to refuse your participation without refund.
6. Notes on refund currencies
We operate in Norwegian kroner (NOK). Payments made in other currencies are subject to exchange rate changes and bank fees, which we are not responsible for. All refunds are issued in NOK based on the original NOK price.
